My Epic Trip to Asia

Working for Automattic has provided me with some incredible opportunities. Since we are a fully distributed company, we make time once a year to meet as a team. The location varies each year. This time, our meetup location was Hong Kong! I’ve never been to Asia so I was beyond excited to experience it all. And, since I was already traveling that far, I decided to add on a few days to go to Tokyo with The Snowmads.

The flight to Hong Kong was, well, long. Very long. I believe it took 16 hours to get there once I left Dallas. Anyway, once I got there, it was an easy trip from the airport to the hotel. The week was a bit of a blur, consisting of lots of working and lots of fun meals with my teammates. We went to Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Disney (which is the least crowded Disney I’ve ever visited), wandered the city, and overall had a great time. And, much love to my better half, Melvin, for being so supportive and making this all possible.

Photos or it didn’t happen.

Stayed tuned for part two where I travel to Tokyo. <3
